Our Core Challenge Partners assist us with our curriculum ensuring that the curriculum embedded in real industrial practice and includes genuine industrial challenges.
The JCB Academy Sixth Form offers three pathways; engineering, business or A-levels. The engineering and business subjects are offered as diplomas, either as a Level 3 or Level 3 Extended.
All learners will undertake:
- A substantial academic, applied or vocational qualifications that stretch them and that link clearly to training, employment and/or higher education as set out in the pathways below.
- English and maths where they have not yet achieved a GCSE grade 4 – this will be part of the agreed programme of study with these learners.
- Work experience to give them the opportunity to develop their career choices and to apply their skills in real working conditions.
- A detailed tutorial, PSHEE, Extension and careers programme to develop learners’ character, skills, attitudes and confidence, and to support progression.
