Payments

All payments for The JCB Academy Sixth Form items should be made via ParentPay. Further information and details regarding ParentPay, including log-in details, will be communicated following the enrolment process in August.

16-19 Bursary Fund

The fund is made available from the government through its funding body – Department for Education (DFE) for 16-18 year olds; it is to be used to support young people to participate and benefit from Post 16 education who are vulnerable, or who are facing financial hardship which may prevent them from accessing provision. The Bursary may be used to support the costs of transport, educational resources, educational trips, laptop purchase if required and uniform. Some level of Bursary is usually awarded where the total household income (including benefits) is below £32,000; this threshold is reviewed annually. The bursary is means tested and applications are submitted directly to The JCB Academy. For further information on the 16-19 Bursary please click here

Free School Meals

If you think you may be entitled to free school meals for your child, or they currently receive free school meals in a county other than Staffordshire, you will need to apply directly to Staffordshire County Council (regardless of where you live) to receive free school meals at The JCB Academy Sixth Form. You may call them on 0300 111 8007 or apply online at www.staffordshire.gov.uk/ (their office is open during school holidays.)

It’s really important that you make this application as, if successful, you will also be automatically eligible to apply for a 16-19 Bursary from the academy which helps with the costs of academy transport, uniform, laptop and compulsory trips.
