Engineering students at The JCB Academy Sixth Form have recently travelled to the London Eye for an exclusive lesson in hydraulics, provided by Bosch Rexroth, one of the academy’s partners. Included in the visit is an onsite factory tour of Bosch Rexroth, a series of practical exercises using Bosch Rexroth training rigs, and a visit to the London Eye to gain insights into the hydraulic systems and sensors used on the iconic landmark. Students visit the London Eye at night when it’s closed to public and get to see the hydraulics on the passenger capsules.
