The learner experiences
The learning experience at the National College for High Speed Rail is like no other on offer in Britain and as the first dedicated High-Speed Rail college, learners engage and interact with mentors using 4k touchscreen whiteboards, virtual and augmented reality headsets and other digital learning aids. With the ability to learn in a real work environment on a former Eurostar power car and dedicated workshop consisting of rail track, railway bogies and overhead land equipment, leaners can combine traditional learning with the very latest digital technologies.

Taster events and sessions
In order to maximise impact on the sixth form and college leavers’, there will be greater emphasis on running taster events throughout the year. The College has appointed Learn by Design to recruit and run these at the Doncaster and Birmingham Campuses. In total, 12 events are planned to take place from November to April;
