We are proud to announce another year of exceptional academic achievements at The JCB Academy Sixth Form. This year is particularly significant as we celebrate the success of our inaugural T-Level Engineering cohort, who have set an impressive standard with an average grade of Distinction.
Mr. J Bailey, our newly appointed Principal, expressed his pride in the results:

The success of our first T-Level Engineering cohort is something truly special, with many learners achieving excellent grades and securing remarkable opportunities. These results are a testament to the dedication and hard work of both our learners and staff. We are proud to have played a role in guiding them toward successful careers.”
In addition to the T-Level Engineering success, our A-Level and diploma learners have continued to excel, securing top grades across a wide range of subjects. Our unique approach, which integrates academic excellence with practical experience, continues to propel our learners toward their aspirations, whether through university placements or prestigious apprenticeships.
Key Highlights from the 2024 Results:
- T-Level Engineering: Over 65% of learners achieved a Merit (equivalent to 3 B’s) or a Distinction (equivalent to 3 A’s), demonstrating the success of our innovative approach to vocational education.
- Business and Engineering Programs: Learners in our other programs also performed exceptionally well, with the vast majority achieving distinction grades or better. Around 70% of our sixth form leavers are heading into STEM-based careers, and 20% into the business sector.
- Notable Destinations: Over a third of our learners are moving on to prestigious degree apprenticeships with leading companies like Rolls-Royce, JCB, Moog, National Grid, Bosch Rexroth, BAE Systems, Bombardier, and Airbus. Others are set to pursue degrees at top universities across the UK.
