So today we travelled for three hours to Agra and after checking into our hotel and meeting our guide, we visited the Taj Mahal. It is one of the seven wonders of the world for a reason. An amazing place full of history and a beautiful love story. We explored the site, sat on the ‘Diana’ bench and had plenty of photos taken to remember the place by.
Then we were off to a marble factory to see a demonstration of how the marble is inlaid with precious stones and an opportunity to purchase souvenirs. Our tour guide took us down the roads that had been tidied up, walls and central reservations painted and new turf laid on the central reservations for the President Trump Visit. I’ve included a photo of this.
Finally we were treated to a theatre show explaining the love story of the Taj Mahal.
